This machine is the one-step hybrid molding equipment, applicable to the thermoplastic materials such as PET, PC, PS, Tritan, PCTG, PETG, SK etc. and widely used in manufacture of packaging bottles for pharmaceuticals, healthcare product and cosmetic industries.
Can be three station or four station processing.
This process begins with a preform being made as done in the injection method. The preforms are then heated up, usually with infrared heaters. Then it is blown with high pressure air using metal blow molds. The preform is stretched using a core rod. This process is generally used when making bottles, jars, and other containers.
One of the major advantages of stretch blow molding is the ability to stretch the preform in both the hoop direction and the axial direction.
This biaxial stretching of material increases the tensile strength, barrier properties, drop impact, clarity, and top load in the container.
With these increases it is usually possible to reduce the overall weight in a container by 10 to 15 percent less then when producing a container in another way.
Since this process does not require secondary heating, with the help from servo-driven injection system, this automatic bottle blowing machine is able to save up to 40% in energy consumption while improving the overall output by 25%.
